1. The color consistency of LED strip lights


At present, there are many packaging factories in China, and there are thousands of large and small encapsulation factories. Of course, there are strengths and weaknesses. There are many small packaging factories that do not have spectroscopy and color separation machines, so they either do not perform light and color separation or outsource the mission, which makes them difficult to guarantee the quality. LEDs that have not undergone light and color separation have poor color consistency, and the effect of lighting on the LED strip light is not so good. Of course, the price difference is relatively large.


2. Chips used in LED strip lights


There are chips made in mainland China and Taiwan province, as well as imported chips (including American chips, Japanese chips, German chips, etc.). The price varies greatly depending on the chip. Currently the most expensive is American chips, followed by Japanese chips and German chips, and Taiwanese chips are affordable.


3. The brightness of the LED strip light


The price of LEDs of different brightness is different, and the price of ordinary brightness and high brightness LEDs is quite different. Therefore, when purchasing, you must clearly know what kind of brightness you need, so that you can accurately locate your products.


4. The color of the LED strip light


The color is different, and the price is different. White and green lights are more difficult to match and separate, so the price is higher than other colors; red, yellow, blue and other colors are easier to separate and have better consistency, so the price is slightly cheaper. Special colors such as purple and brown are the most expensive due to color matching reasons.


5. The welding effect of the LED strip light


The assembly of LED strip lights is divided into manual welding and machine welding. Manual welding is to use a soldering iron, and the most primitive method is used for welding. The products produced by this operation method have an ugly appearance (problems such as the solder joint size is inconsistent, there are many residues of scaling powder, the solder joints are not smooth, the LED package is scalded, etc.); the second is that the electrostatic protection measures are not good, and many LED chips are broken down, causing the phenomenon of dim light or no light when the power is turned on.


6. The FPC material of the LED strip light


FPC is divided into two types: rolled copper and copper-clad. The copper-clad circuit is cheaper, and the rolled copper type is more expensive. The pads of the copper-clad circuit are easy to fall off when bent, while that of rolled copper circuit does not. The specific FPC material to be used depends on the buyer's decision according to the use environment.

Whether FPC has passed environmental protection certification, UL certification, whether LED has patent, etc., should be considered. Some products are certified and patented, and the prices are more higher, while cheaper products don’t pass.
